Job summary Amazon Ads - Publisher Technology (PubTech) is a new exciting program that is building supply side technology and pioneering novel experiences for Content Publishers (video, audio, and display) to sell their inventory, optimize yield, and maximize monetization. It caters to both Amazon first party publishers (e.g. Prime Video, Freevee, FireTV, Twitch), and third party publishers as they onboard new sponsored experiences for their customers. We are looking for motivated and experienced software development engineers to join our team as we architect the technology landscape that will support these publishers. As a member of the Deal Management team, you will spend your time as a hands-on engineer focused on enabling direct sales management between advertisers and publishers while maximizing revenue. This is a unique opportunity with greenfield development to influence the vision, capabilities, and architecture. You will help drive the program in its infancy. A day in the life Partner with other engineering teams across Amazon Ads, Product Managers, Ad Sales teams, Publishers, etc. to understand Publisher needs and develop new capabilities to improve ad customer experience and publisher monetization. About the team Our team and our platform are growing quickly, and we’re looking for engineers to help scale the business and technology. Experience and knowledge of advertising
Experience in building significant modules for complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Experience influencing software engineering best practices including development and maintenance
