Our Marketplaces are a fast-growing space that looks to connect HubSpot customers with the apps, assets, and services they need to Grow Better. We are beginning a multi-year journey to reimagine the HubSpot Marketplaces and extend it beyond the current state of Integrations and CMS assets and into a one-of-a-kind experience where HubSpot users can access prebuilt assets and services for all Hubs of the HubSpot product. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the engineering team, product leadership, and our design team to execute on the marketplace strategy. The success of the Marketplaces are a cornerstone of HubSpot's mission to help businesses grow better and you'll be part of the team driving toward this goal.

Engineers in our group can expect to work in small, autonomous teams and have full ownership over their apps. Engineers on this team have a solid understanding of JavaScript (we're starting to explore TypeScript as well) and deploy their work on a platform that leverages continuous integration and delivery. React and Redux are utilized by our front-end teams to deliver fast, easy-to-use and exceptionally reliable user interfaces.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Write micro-services, primarily with Java 8.
• Construct complete web applications, which are primarily single-page apps written in JavaScript (React, ECMAScript 6, Sass)
• Mentor junior engineers and assist them in growing their engineering skills. Help verify the correctness of their work, as well as educate them on any gaps in their knowledge.
• Provide technical leadership and direction for team projects.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Carry out system testing and debugging.
• Liaise with team members to solve development issues.
• Design decisions with reliability, maintainability, usability, readability, performance, and scalability of the overall solution in mind.

Cash compensation range: 186300-279500 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
