- 3+ years’ of development or technical production support experience in Java/J2EE based applications.

We build, operate, and scale systems that are responsible for hundreds of billions of dollars in transactions, and are central to the success of Amazon and its partners. We're looking for a software Support Engineer with a deep focus on operational excellence of live systems. The right fit for this role has worked closely with software developers and users to optimize data pipelines, and Java based services. This role offers great opportunities to learn and develop AWS skills. Roles and responsibilities : As a Support Engineer on Finance Automation team, you will own and commit to the operational excellence of the many software services that are responsible to process hundreds of billions of dollars in transactions. You will be embedded with development teams to work hand in hand focusing on improving the overall quality of the software solution. You will participate in design reviews, identifying and mitigating support risks, developing metrics, defining SLAs, writing tools and run books, root cause and solve tickets.
- You are an engineer with computer science or similar background
- You have 3+ years of experience in production operations support or DevOps ecosystem.
- You have proven experience in incident management, support processes, run-book management, change management practices, and handled high impact incidents.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript and React framework.
