This Software Engineer will be a critical member of our Advanced Surgical division's R&D team, based in Denver, CO. The engineer will have immediate opportunities to contribute to new product development with a focus on minimally invasive surgical technologies designed to deliver real benefits to surgeons, hospitals and their patients. Advanced Surgical products include:
- Advanced insufflation systems
- Advanced energy systems
- Electrosurgical units (ESU’s)
- Laparoscopic surgical instruments
As a CONMED Software Engineer II, you will be working on a high performing team, writing code for a capital unit.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all traditional software development activities such as software design, analysis programming, debugging, and testing
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Troubleshoot code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications
- Apply sound engineering principles and techniques to both verify and validate new and existing systems/subsystems for use in medical applications
- Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering (or highly related field) required
- 2-5+ years engineering work experience required, preference placed on experience in medical device product design and development
- Experience with C, C++ and / or Java is a plus
- Experience with unit testing is a plus
- Experience with UML modeling is a plus
- Experience with Android is a plus
- Experience with embedded Linux is a plus
0-20% travel
Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is 63,000 to 100,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
