Description


Creating and maintaining code for internal finance systems (65% of the time)



  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users, business owners, senior management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.



Back office support (10% of the time)



  • Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance of infrastructure used by systems we support and develop. The maintenance covers operating system updates, security patches, and maintaining proper level of capacity



  • Includes work with dev ops team. Communication and collaboration (15% of the time)



  • Collaborate in a team-focused, agile development



  • Confidently contribute and adapt to changing requirements, ideas, and



  • Work closely with the Finance team gathering requirements, coordinating test efforts and



Mentor the other software engineers (10% of the time)



  • Responsible for training regarding internal environment and how to procure



  • Mentor by reviewing code and



  • Assigns work in absence of

Additional Skills:



  • Undergraduate/graduate degrees in Computer Science or equivalent experience



  • 5+ years software development experience



  • Full stack / single page web application developer



  • 5+ years software development experience



  • 5+ years JavaScript/Ajax/JSON



  • High familiarity with at least one Javascript library (Angular,React,YUI,JQuery)



  • 5+ years Java web application development



  • Experience with Spring 0 or newer



  • 2+ years hands-on database knowledge (MySQL, Oracle)



  • Maintenance, design, good knowledge of SQL statements and performance



  • Define well-organized software architectures and implement with clear, intelligent code



  • Familiar with long view - write code you would want to maintain 5 years later



  • Share knowledge with other developers and contribute to our development workflow



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and other team members



  • Strong OOA/OOD concepts: Comfortable with design patterns and best practices and good analytical skills



Education:

Required: Requires a Bachelor's degree, advanced training, or a combination of education and relevant training/experience.

Experience:

Required: Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of standardized but moderately complex procedures and operations. Ability to apply procedures or operate varied equipment for purposes of performing standard operations.

Mental Demands:

Responsibilities require advanced independent discretion, problem-solving, and broad conceptual judgment with a high degree of creativity, initiative, and the ability to deal with complex factors and ideas. Position is a first-level manager, with significant lead responsibilities or supervision of one or two individual contributor(s).

Working Environment:

Position has generally good working conditions. For example, limited local travel, standard hours, limited hazards (dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, noise, etc.), standard hours (minimal overtime, limited variance in schedule), and good working environment.
