About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer in the Digital Technology and Innovation group which supports evolving digital platforms and enhances integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Provide solution engineering, design, architecture, innovation, senior development, and strategic leadership of the enterprise electronic signature offering
- Providing technical consultation and support in the development of end-to-end automated software solutions capable of interfacing and integrating with in-house developed and vendor developed solutions and plug-ins via APIs and web services
- Lead and mentor members of the development scrum team, working with teams across the organization to meet common goals, and leading in-depth technical discussions to address complex requirements
- Develop engineering best practices, guidelines, standards and accelerators
- Develop strategies to improve developer productivity and reduce technology debt
- Create elegant solution designs for delivering highly resilient and scalable electronic signature services
- Provide expert counsel to senior technology leadership and advises and mentors engineering teams
- Collaborate with architecture leadership in driving the transformation to modern architectures
Required Qualifications, US:
- 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 7+ years of Java experience
- 7+ years of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
- 7+ years of Spring framework experience
- 7+ years of experience with an electronic signature provider and designing and implementing solutions to manage the lifecycle of electronic signature processes (e.g. DocuSign, OneSpan Sign, Adobe Sign)
- 7+ years of working with PDF documents including composition, extraction, and analysis
- 6+ years of experience with implementing solutions that comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- 5+ years of designing and developing REST based web services
- 5+ years of experience developing SPA application using Angular or React frameworks
- 3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation
- 2+ years of experience in building and deploying microservices and cross channel restful Application Programming Interface (APIs) using Apigee
- 2+ years experience with electronic signature laws and regulations
- 2+ years of experience with messaging applications such as Kafka or JMS
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner
- 2+ years of experience working with an electronic notary product such as DocuSign eNotary or Notarize.
- Experience working with cloud solutions such as PCF, Microsoft (Azure), and Google (GCP)
- Experience in coaching and mentoring developers
- Strong verbal and communication skills and able to adapt to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, DDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Experience with the Atlassian suite of applications, Jira for issue tracking and Confluence for documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis
- Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend, and downstream interfaces
- Ability to present to large audiences and in technology conferences
- Ability to continually assess current state and innovate to adapt to new technological advancements
