CNS Network is a clinical trials company with offices in Garden Grove, Long Beach, Torrance and Oakland with a JCAHO-accredited Psychiatric Health Facility known as Ocean View. OVPHF seeks a Full-Time Social Worker in Long Beach. This position provides social service, case management and psychotherapy to patients and their families. The position also coordinates treatment with other agencies and is responsible for activities including data collection, discharge planning, and interdepartmental consultation.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

· Prepare a comprehensive written psychosocial evaluation and assessment, client recovery, plan daily documentation

· Responsible for discharge planning

· Provide individual psychotherapy

· Lead treatment meeting with couples or family


·Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously and persistently mentally ill Patients, other staff members, physicians and the public

·Demonstrated ability to visually and audibly assess the mental status and psychosocial needs of severely mentally ill Patients


·Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of basic medical/psychiatric terminology and psychopharmacology


·Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling from an accredited college or university


·Two (2) years direct service experience with severely and persistently mentally ill Patients in an inpatient or outpatient health care setting (internship and/or practicum time may be substituted)
