California Music Hall Of Fame is looking for an energetic, curious, and driven Community Outreach Intern. The Social Media Intern will be responsible for assisting the organization in the building and sustaining of the organization’s brand. You will be involved in developing an ongoing PR plan, creating media lists, researching media opportunities, writing pitches and press releases, conducting media relations, and monitoring media, The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter, who can work independently, remotely, on a team, without supervision and with superb communication skills. Being capable of taking responsibility for owning, shaping, developing and delivering creative project

-Partner identification: You will use your resourcefulness and research skills to help us uncover new opportunities for partnerships, and to identify the most effective ways to work with those potential partners.

- Partner recruitment: You will use your creativity and communication skills to reach out to potential partners, and to engage them in a mutually beneficial relationship with us. –

-Partner relationship management: -You will use your organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills to track the status of new and established partnerships, and to find and implement ways to continually improve partner relations.


You will work entirely remotely and on your own schedule, though we require a minimum commitment of 5-8 hours a week. IN THESES TRYING TIMES, we believe that the ability to work remotely and on your own schedule is essential to cultivate a productive and happy culture. Because our staff is spread throughout California, we communicate mostly through email. All interns are required to email us with an update every Friday. If you possess a high level of self-motivation, work well independently, strive for excellence, and commit quality time per week on a regular basis to help achieve team goals, we'd like to hear from you.


Our primary purpose is to recognize, promote and commemorate California’s musical heritage and to keep California music legends in the minds and hearts of all, as well as propel "up and coming" artists towards Hall of Fame status by having regular events and concerts.

We foster a mission-driven, collaborative work environment where teamwork, communication, excellence, quality, integrity, inquiry and commitment to the community are highly valued.

Through our different programs and working in partnership to strengthen the music sector, we will ensure that all genres of music continue to play an important role in the lives of all Californians.

Our community outreach includes:

“Rock The Wish Music Experience Concert Series”, a grant wishing music experience providing tickets to California concerts, open to California first responders, veterans, mailmen, grocery store workers,and burn survivors ages 13-18.
