BLAZE is an early-stage technology startup designing the next-generation of a software platform for the cannabis industry. We are proven entrepreneurs that have deep experience in the cannabis industry and have great product traction in the market.

BLAZE is looking for an LA-based Onboarding Specialist for our software solutions in our rapidly expanding client base. Onboarding includes coordination, training, and implementation (both remote and on-site). The ideal candidate will be organized, display exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Many of our clients we support are in West LA, and travel to that area will be frequent to support our customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership over processes throughout the client life-cycle, and interact with key players within the ever-evolving cannabis space.

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for developing customer relationships that promote retention and loyalty. Their job is to work closely with customers to ensure they are satisfied with the services they receive and to improve upon areas of dissatisfaction.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of new customers from sales through a warm handoff.
  • Act as primary point of communication for all onboarding and initial support tasks as customers move onto our platform.
  • Take new customer through onboarding including: discovery process, coordination of data migration, performing training sessions (remote and on-site).
  • After initial onboarding and transition of customer to standard technical support protocols.
  • Act as a Tier 2 technical support for the products.
  • Travel to customer sites 2-3 days per week.
  • Educate customers on best practices specific to their business needs
  • Support sales team in demos and for advanced questions posed by prospects.
  • Contribute to the BLAZE customer support knowledge base by authoring educational support articles.
  • Ensure proper integration and operation of BLAZE with 3rd party platforms & applications
  • Advocate on behalf of your clients by working closely with internal teams to implement feedback & raise awareness of customer challenges, needs and concerns
  • Identify and qualify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities

You should have:

  • Proven track record of production
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in customer success/account management, consulting, or project management
  • SAAS startup experience
  • Solid experience in Office productivity suites such as MS Office or Google Docs. Specifically strong experience in spreadsheet.
  • Experience with regular use of a CRM platform.
  • The ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, juggle multiple accounts, and manage a wide range of projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and within a team

Bonus points for:

  • Cannabis industry experience in cultivation, distribution, or dispensary/delivery
  • Experience with Infusionsoft
  • Experience in retail, high-volume bar/restaurant management, or liquor distribution
