An investigation is underway after someone discovered a body in a Van Nuys neighborhood Tuesday morning. About the team


The Renovation team builds the tools and platforms that enable field operators to manage and automate their day-to-day tasks in the entire renovation process. These include a number of platforms ranging from mobile apps to microservices and web applications. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help design and develop our mobile application in react-native.


About the role


We are on a mission to give consumers certainty and control when selling their home. In the Zillow Offers product, Zillow buys homes directly from interested homeowners, thereby sparing them the tremendous stress and effort of selling. As we re-sell these homes, we are building next-generation experiences for buyers to find, tour, and purchase a home with transparency and control. Zillow Offers is a key initiative at Zillow as we aim to define the future of the real estate. The product is still in very early stages, so come seize this rare opportunity and apply your expertise in a brand-new arena. Your role will focus on React Native development of the features for our brand-new app. This is the opportunity to:

  • Architect robust and reliable mobile app on a modern stack
  • Build products that genuinely affect the way people buy and sell houses
  • Work on initiatives that are among the highest priorities for Zillow Group
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across all of our consumer brands
  • Write high-quality code that is readable, testable, and extensible
  • Have your ideas thoughtfully considered and potentially make it into a product

Who you are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Strong JavaScript skills with ES6, React / Redux.
  • 3+ years of working with a modern JavaScript framework (React, AngularJS or Vue)
  • You are proficient with one of the server-side programming languages such as Node.js, Java, C#, PHP, Ruby, etc
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Postgres, MySql or other SQL databases
  • Experience with React Native
  • You are a strong believer in best app development principles and processes (OO Design, Design Patterns, TDD, Peer reviews, Automation, etc.)
  • Have the ability to solve complex problems with practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
  • Care about quality and testing
  • You have the energy to keep pace with our daily deployments and constant code changes
