The Role

  • You will work closely with our lead developer and online teams to build scalable customer-facing and internal applications.
  • You will be developing new and exciting products and websites using React, Next.js, Node.js and other cutting edge tools.
  • You will take part in mentoring and helping developers improve their skills and adopt best practices.
  • You will be involved in the whole development process, from analysis through to delivery.
  • We want you to have the power to work autonomously, and contribute to key decisions on the technology stack.

Must Have

  • 2+ years experience building scalable React + Redux applications
  • Full stack development skills (including development, deployment and infrastructure)
  • Ability to architect and build highly available, scalable, secure and performant systems
  • Knowledge of best practice around databases and data stores (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis)
  • Eagerness for unit testing, end to end testing, and continuous integration.
  • Knowledge of the building blocks of the web; HTTP, headers, cookies, caching, etc.
  • Experience working in an agile development team.
  • Confident in building applications which consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid communication skills, ensuring the team is kept up to date on deliverables and issues.

Nice to Have
