Investigation Underway After Body Discovered in Van Nuys Neighborhood

An investigation is underway after someone discovered a body in a Van Nuys neighborhood Tuesday morning. The Fire Department received a call just before 6 a.m. reporting a person down, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Nicholas Prange said. The ideal candidate will be passionate about and highly knowledgeable in Lean and Agile methods and processes including SCRUM, SAFe, LeSS, DevOps and Kanban. She/He should have deep experience in managing a large group of Agile-based teams and successfully delivering technology products in an Agile fashion (with frequent and high-quality releases using CI/CD). In this role, you will…
  • Act as a Servant Leader overseeing many Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure the trains run smoothly by identifying and resolving impediments and bottlenecks
  • Leverage your expertise in Lean, Agile and SAFe to drive high performance from ARTs and Teams using disciplined practices
  • Work across ARTs and teams to streamline dependencies, ensuring the successful delivery of integrated software
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure milestones are met and integration is effective and functional

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a set of SAFe Agile Release Trains, composed of hundreds of Agile team members, ensuring successful planning and delivery of PI commitments
  • Drive and facilitate PI Planning to ensure teams are effective and productive in their planning efforts
  • Manage and optimize the flow of the ARTs by improving processes, reducing waste and unnecessary hand-offs, and working to improve the overall pipeline
  • Coach ART Leads and Agile Team Members on Lean-Agile practices and principles
  • Cultivate strong relationships among working teams with potential exposure to Senior AT&T Leadership
  • Assist tracking the execution of capabilities and features using data-driven metrics
  • Facilitate and coordinate deliverables, ceremonies and duties for the Solution Team (including Solution Mgmt and Solution Architects)
  • Be a leader in organizational strategy by looking at ways to optimize ART and team structure and flow
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across a variety of parallel programs delivering the next generation of video services
  • Apply technical and domain knowledge to contextually solve complex technical problems
  • Have the skillsets to know how to address your audience whether it’s working through technical issues with developers or presenting to senior leaders
  • Remove impediments, proactively mitigate risks and drive accountability of team members to ultimately deliver quality features and software improvements to our customers

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in an Agile program management or Agile development function in a large-scaled, complex product & technology environment
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certified
  • Experience successfully deploying large, complex technical initiatives in highly matrixed organizations
  • Previous leadership experience in a successful Agile Transformation involving hundreds of resources and dozens of teams
  • Extensive knowledge of video distribution technology serving video on demand, live TV streaming, authentication and entitlement, measurement, and dynamic ad insertion

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience managing a team of direct reports in a program management and/or product development capacity
  • Extensive experience serving in Agile related functions such as Scrum Master, RTE, STE, Agile Coach, Product Owner or Product Manager
  • 2+ years experience serving in a program leadership role, preferably within a product development organization
  • Strong knowledge of SCRUM, Kanban and SAFe (certifications preferred)
  • Previous delivery leadership experience shipping large-scale technology products to customers
  • Systems Engineering/Integration mindset with a passion and knack to help solve large scale technology problems with well-crafted solutions
  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to confidently present in front of senior leadership
  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently
  • Ability to understand and engage with technical teams on highly complex projects
