About the Job



We currently have an experienced-level position open for a Frontend Designer with a desire to learn and strong attention to detail that can help augment our existing team. The ideal candidate would be well-rounded with a variety of experience in interaction, UI and UX design. This is a full-time position in our Westlake Village office. Given the responsibilities involved with this position, we cannot accept candidates who would work remotely.



Responsibilities

  • Able to create clean aesthetically appealing web designs for clients, users and internal products.

  • Able to confidently articulate how a design solution answers user needs, business goals, technical constraints and other projects facets, as well as translate that solution into a premium visual design.
  • Responsible for implementing designs/layouts (made by you or others) that user will see and interact with in a web application.

  • Responsible for building reusable code and libraries for future use.

  • Responsible for optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Hand coding all HTML/CSS.



Qualification Requirements



  • 4+ years of professional experience with interaction/visual design for web development.
  • Expert at web markup (HTML, CSS). We need a frontend designer who can design and code without a premade theme or CMS.
  • Strong frontend design portfolio of pertinent work is required (a link to your portfolio is required).

  • Must be able to create responsive as well as adaptive websites. Must be able to make webpages mobile friendly and pass all google mobile tests.

  • Abreast of UI design best practices, trends and techniques.

  • Creating wireframes.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Understanding of vanilla JavaScript, a plus.
