An investigation is underway after someone discovered a body in a Van Nuys neighborhood Tuesday morning. The Fire Department received a call just before 6 a.m. reporting a person down, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Nicholas Prange said. About the Job



We currently have an experienced-level position open for a Frontend Designer with a desire to learn and strong attention to detail that can help augment our existing team. The ideal candidate would be well-rounded with a variety of experience in hand coding HTML, CSS to match designs. This is a full-time position in our Westlake Village office. Given the responsibilities involved with this position, we cannot accept candidates who would work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Able to create webpages from designs using hand coded HTML 5 and CSS.

  • Works closely with designers and developers to solve problems related to user interfaces and user experience.

  • Browser compatibility is a must across all major browsers and mobile devices.

  • Responsible for building reusable code and libraries for future use.

  • Responsible for optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.



Qualification Requirements



  • 2+ years of professional experience with web coding for web development.
  • Expert at web markup (HTML, CSS). We need a frontend developer who can design and code without a premade theme or CMS.
  • Portfolio of pertinent work is required (a link to your portfolio is required).

  • Must be able to create responsive as well as adaptive websites. Must be able to make webpages mobile friendly and pass all google mobile tests.

  • Abreast of UI design best practices, trends and techniques.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Understanding of vanilla JavaScript, a plus.

  • Able to design web pages and components a plus.
