An investigation is underway after someone discovered a body in a Van Nuys neighborhood Tuesday morning. Job Description
We are seeking several backend Developers for our Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA and our satellite office win Los Angeles, CA. Ideally, you will come with five or more years of experience developing backends for web, mobile web and native mobile applications.
You will be part of an exciting team working closely with product and technology stakeholders to define problems, improve existing applications and help create new experiences that allow users to get the most out of our products..
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for helping to build a robust platform that will be supporting web, client and Android mobile applications for content creators, app and end consumers across different devices and industries. You will be responsible for:
  • Helping to design and prototype new services and applications,

  • Improving and optimizing existing backend systems including cloud infrastructure, database and CMS

  • Working with and supporting partner developers across a wide range of devices and platforms.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years experience as a software engineer / web developer.

  • Expertise in one or more of the following languages:

  • Node.js, C/C++, C#, .Net, Java and/or Python

  • Expertise building RESTful Web APIs and backend services for modern, responsive web and mobile applications.

  • Expertise in best practices, design patterns, architecture and data modeling.

  • Expertise in security best practices and authentication protocols such as: SAML, OAuth, Token-based authentication.

  • Comfortable using GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins and Slack.

  • Ability to work in an exciting startup environment.

BONUS
  • Experience with Node.js and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google or Azure.

  • Experience with building GraphQL APIs and Microservices.

  • Experience with Message Queues/Bus such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ.

  • Experience in front-end web technologies such as:

  • HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Angular, React, Vue

  • Experience working with payment systems such as Stripe, BrainTree, etc.

  • Experience building and setting up CMS-driven applications.

  • Experience implementing frontend data and analytics technologies:

  • Google Analytics & Firebase

  • implementing A/B testing for user applications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field.

  • Experience with app publishing platforms (Google Play, ITunes COnnect, Oculus)
    Experience developing on VR/AR platforms (Oculus, Unity, Unreal, ARCore, ARKit)
