Job Summary: Business Transformation Director collaborates closely with the IT Project Manager and manages all business aspects of the new ERP implementation across all CAE sites. In this role the manager will ensure consistent business processes are defined and supported and across all locations and fully implemented in the ERP solution. Additionally, the Director leads a team of business process owners responsible for requirements specifications. detailed business process design, testing and validation of configured software solution, data conversion and validation as well as training and business change management. Provides overall program and project management tools and support for the ERP program.
This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate cross-functional engagement across the organization with Manufacturing, Supply chain, Accounting, Finance, planning, Procurement, manufacturing IT and other key stakeholders in order to drive success of these strategic initiatives
- Provide leadership and tactical execution in the areas of enterprise business functions, program management (scope, detailed schedule, budget, risk, Stakeholder management), cross team collaboration and the synchronization of effort to drive outcomes
- Act as a business architect providing insights into best business practices across multiple functional areas
- Manage program status reporting requirements, project roadmap realization, scheduling, issues and risks and the archiving and sharing of important artifacts and documentation for these initiatives.
- Ensures all business processes are supported by the new ERP solution as per the well-defined detailed requirements and specifications by facilitating and overseeing creation of detailed test plans, test scenarios and scripts and coordinating detailed execution of testing cycles
- Ensures all converted data is validated for completeness, integrity and transactability
- Ensures all users are provided required training and job aids for using the new software
- Ensures proper communications at all levels from project sponsors to the individual users throughout the project
- Understand and utilize structured methodology with tollgate verifications developed by Crane for project implementation
Non-Essential Functions:
- Understand compliance requirements and implement the same during project rollouts across locations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Cross functional business experience across multiple disciplines of an enterprise such as manufacturing, supply chain management, procurement, quality and customer management
- Thorough understanding of detailed business processes, their inter-connect and how they relate to business systems
- Experience using multiple functions of ERP systems supporting business functions
- Experience at a senior level, in complex manufacturing industry, preferably aerospace and electronics
- Change Management and Business Process Mapping and experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions
- Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of key program metrics, financials, and performance reports related to large transformational initiatives
- Demonstrated experience advising and influencing senior management. Strong partnering, consulting and influencing skills
- Direct experience managing enterprise programs in terms of scope, schedule, budget and risk.
- Demonstrated business systems planning analysis skills
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with large ERP and other system implementations
- CPIM, PMP certifications
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on analysis and resolution of complex technical issues across teams and functional areas
- Skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Familiarity with JIRA & Confluence (Atlassian) collaboration platforms a plus
