Hybrid Position to work from NYC The new GFT
Mid-Level Java Developer will join a friendly, fast-paced workplace with an emphasis on helping customers and empowering team members. Responsibilities: Hands on experience in building and maintaining fault-tolerant, scalable Service/APIs and backend solutions
Ability to construct enterprise-grade APIs using state-of-the-art techniques and best practices (Java, NodeJS / Javascript, AWS, SQL)
Analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
Proficient in cross-platform integration
Familiar with testing frameworks and methodologies using frameworks such as mocha and Jest
Can communicate complex software concepts to people with a wide range of technical knowledge
Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
Thrive on teams with a congenial and collaborative approach to working through technical problems
Support all business as usual integration and reporting efforts between the legacy system and Salesforce.
Enjoys contributing to the development of his or her peers by providing mentorship and support
Required Skills: BS degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of work experience in a software engineering role
Expertise in the following: Java, NodeJS / Javascript, AWS, SQL
Familiar with Restful API, serverless architecture
Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
Hands on experience in developing secure coding.
Adept at working in Agile teams
