Software Engineer @ Moore & Associates - Moore & Associates in Poway, CA

*MUST BE IN SAN DIEGO AND OPEN TO FULLY ONSITE WORK*

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to roadmap for software products
• Create requirements and design specification documents
• Create prototypes for proof of concept
• Define architecture, create modular approach, contribute to code bases written in C/C#
• Work with customers on customizations of our clients standard software products
• Debug issues to root cause using debuggers, loggers, and protocol analyzers
• Lead reviews for root cause, code updates, solution validation
• Work with test team to resolve issues logged in bug tracker
• Improve software development methodologies, processes, procedures, and tools

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering software application products
• Minimum 2 years working on software that interfaces to a database
• Experience in software risk management and writing software requirements
• Proficiency in C / C# / Python
• Experience delivering products that use encryption
• History of debugging / troubleshooting designs, proving root cause
• Proficiency in use of various compilers, debuggers, and IDEs (e.g. GCC, Visual Studio, VS Code)
• Proficient in Windows 10, Linux and MAC operating system environments
• Familiarity with storage devices in operating systems
• Ability to clearly communicate plans, results and logic behind decisions
• Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• History of being part of a team taking a consumer product from prototype to mass-production
• Experience with USB devices and protocol
• Familiarity with SATA / SCSI protocols
• Scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, AutoIT)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
