The Role:

Torticity is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing and talented engineering team. As an Engineer, you will help develop the core product that powers our business. You’ll get to solve challenging problems— business and technical—and do it as part of a high-performing team. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly motivated, have the ability to multitask, have leadership experience, and be comfortable with disrupting the status-quo while maintaining a strict HIPAA compliant environment.

We’re a JavaScript shop with full stack engineers using Vue.js with Nuxt on the frontend and Node.js running NestJS on the backend all running in AWS. This team practices Continuous Delivery with a DevOps culture and ships to production several times each day. Our Tech team is incredibly talented and each member makes a daily impact. Responsibilities:

Play a major role in the software design and delivery of Torticity’s internal case management and external-facing portal products

This person will interact with engineers and business partners at all levels and with teams across functional areas

Promoting a collaborative culture of feedback and continuous improvement.

Design, implement, and test features to support the growth of Torticity’s software products.

Take ownership and responsibility of the team’s goals and be a good steward to our products and stakeholders

Work full stack by implementing features across the stack including database queries, backend APIs, and modern user interfaces

Collaborate with product, design, business stakeholders, and other engineers to deliver a high-quality product

Learning from and mentoring other engineers to help everyone level

Skills and experience:

3+ years of building software products in a team

Expertise in 1+ programming environments - JavaScript preferred

Experience writing automated tests (Unit, Functional, etc.)

Proficient in a backend MVC framework and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Working knowledge of a modern JS library (Vue.js, React, etc.)

Working knowledge of SQL (Queries, Joins, etc.)

Nice to haves:

Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD
