Description of Duties:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a User Interface / User Experience Designer. The person will assume a role in design and usability for eGovernment interactions and services. This includes conceptualizing the screen flow of eGovernment Web applications; designing and building interfaces for Web and mobile applications in HTML, CSS and JavaScript; and developing and maintaining both the underlying framework and designs for the Indiana.gov website, as well as government agency websites.
The UI/UX Designer possesses the ability to implement solutions to a wide array of technical problems and communicate other implementation details to application development team when necessary.
This position will be responsible for the implementation of new leading edge Web applications and services as they move from concept to launch. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly versatile and talented project managers, developers and designers.
The User Interface Designer is responsible for implementing and maximizing usability throughout Web applications and CT.gov Web pages. The UI/UX Designer conceptualizes the workflow of Web applications and designs and constructs user interfaces for applications and portal pages. This position requires a mixture of skills including coding, analytical, and visual. It is approximately 50% coding, 20% interaction design, 20% visual design, and 10% usability testing.
