Amazon Business (AB) is one of Amazon’s fastest growing new initiatives focused on building solutions to enable business customers to research, discover and buy business, industrial and scientific products in large catalogs; across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, businesses and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our customers have different and frequently more complex needs than the traditional Amazon customer base, such as business-only selection and pricing, multi-user business accounts, approval workflows, business payment solutions, tax exemptions, dedicated business customer support and much more. Amazon Business is the fastest business to $10B in Amazon’s history. And this is a tiny fraction of the multi-trillion-dollar Business-to-Business (B2B) opportunity worldwide. We operate in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. And we are continually expanding to new countries.
We are looking for experienced and motivated people to be part of the AB Sales Commercial, Public and Strategic Data Tools & Analytics (CPS DATA) team, and help build scalable, robust and secure Applications & Systems with a comprehensive understanding of businesses. Our Data and Systems play a critical role in day-to-day functioning of AB Sales Organization and serves thousands of direct users. Our data is used by multiple downstream teams for Analytics and Reporting at daily, weekly and monthly frequency elevating the need to maintain high System/Data availability and highly performant systems integration.
We are seeking someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy and fun work environment where we deliver value incrementally and frequently. We value highly technical people who know their subject matter deeply and are willing to learn new areas. We look for individuals who know how to deliver results and show a desire to develop themselves, their colleagues, and their career.
As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will collaborate with other experienced senior Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Engineers, Product Managers and Program Managers to drive improvements to our technology, design and develop new services & software solutions and build/track metrics to ensure high quality results. You will have the opportunity to work with business partners, leadership and other developers, influence and drive product vision and lead the design of our systems. Our roadmap is focused on solving complex data acquisition, integration, matching and vending challenges for existing and potential AB customers. We need great leaders to think big and design new solutions to help solve complex problems using Software Engineering, Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to improve our customers’ experience when using AB. At Amazon, we are known for our customer obsession. We need your ideas and your ability to take initiative, innovate, and produce results as we continuously improve the customer experience.
This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact at Amazon. If you are excited by this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to the hiring manager for more details about this opportunity!
