Role Summary:
In this position, you will be responsible for the meticulous disassembly and assessment of battery cells, along with precise assembly of coin cell and pouch cells. This role involves conducting advanced battery tests, maintaining rigorous quality control standards, and ensuring the safe operation of lab equipment. The opening will be located at our Tustin, CA facility and reports directly to a Cell Testing Engineer.
  • Disassemble and inspect Li-ion battery cells to assess internal components, materials, and quality
  • Assemble coin cells and pouch cells for testing and research purposes, following
    established procedures and safety protocols
  • Conduct a variety of tests on battery cells, including cycle testing, internal resistance
    testing, and calendar life aging
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality control are maintained during cell tear-down and
    assembly processes
  • Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered. Prepare
    reports and presentations as needed
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment in the
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position.
  • Understand chemistry and know-how to handle common laboratory equipment according
    to the SOP
  • Previous experience in cell tear-down and assembly is highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to document work clearly
  • Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of safety in a laboratory setting and
    around high voltage equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Capable of performing physical work which may require lifting objects weighing up to 30-
    50 pounds occasionally
Pay Disclosure:

Hourly Range Rate for California Based Applicants: $40.85-$47.10 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
