Reports to: Bridge Division, Operations Manager
General Description:
The Software Developer, Applications will plan and develop specialized applications software.
. Requirements:
Work Experience Requirements:

  • Collaborates with Project Managers and their teams to help with future project roadmap decisions.

  • Assesses feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints.

  • Design and code C#/VB.NET.

  • Develops code and designs software applications based on user specifications.

  • Works cross functionally with internal teams to modify existing software to correct errors or improve

  • performance and meet project goals.

  • Monitors and assists with software testing and validation procedures and programming.

  • Monitors and assists with software installation; ensures application operates within established specifications.

  • Gathers and evaluates user feedback and then modifies software for better usability.

  • Designs databases for specific application areas.

  • Determines required system performance standards and hardware configurations based on client specifications, budget, security needs, and other parameters.

  • Collaborates with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems to support required applications.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON

  • Extensive knowledge of coding languages of ASP.NET, C#, HTML5, and CSS

  • Comfortable writing unit tests

  • Familiar with Design Patterns

  • Knowledge of International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and Trucking Industry is a plus

  • JavaScript frontend frameworks a bonus


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required

  • 3+ years as a .NET Developer
