The Senior Electrical Test
Engineer, in the role of Senior Professional Test and Verification
Engineering, performs moderately complex assignments of the
engineering test and verification function for hearing systems.
What you’ll do:
The Senior Electrical Test
Engineer is responsible for the
design and specification and construction of automated test equipment (ATE) to verify the
design and the manufacturing of Medical Class III systems, consisting of active implantable and external devices, at AB and vendor locations. The Senior Manufacturing ATE
engineer also supports existing test systems and processes deployed in production including support for change notifications and corrective actions. The Senior Electrical Test
Engineer continues to review the existing ATE systems and processes in order to improve the test processes and improve productivity.
- Specify, architect, analyze and implement ATE software and hardware associated with next generation cochlear implant systems
- Document all aspects of ATE development (hardware and software) including but not limited to Requirements Specification, Design Description, Test Plan and Test Procedures)
- Actively apply technical knowledge to innovate in advanced technologies, product design and development, processes, and V&V automation.

- Identify and procure the new equipment and technology of significant complexity, scope and cost
- Investigate and interpret internal or external technology and business trends and recommend best practices to the organization
- Address ATE issues related to product performance through the Product Lifecycle (Development/Production/Obsolescence).
- Provide technical support to vendors for troubleshooting issues with test systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travelling Requirement: Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
What you bring to the team:
Education
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in appropriate engineering field of study or equivalent work experience
Nice to Have
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical test systems, embedded hardware and software for class III Medical devices
Nice to Have
- 10 years’ experience in electrical test systems, embedded hardware and software for class III Medical devices

Nice to Have
- Background in audio digital signal processing.
- Knowledge of ISO13485 / CFR 820 Title 21
- Process V&V activities including IQ, OQ, PQs
- Experience in GR&R and Measurement System Analysis

Pay Ranges: $106,484/yr - $142,944/yr
